Is LinkedIn a potential gold mine?

Self-help guru Lewis Howes knows something you don’t. He learnt it by trial and error. And what he learnt propelled his online business into the stratosphere – well, maybe not the stratosphere, but into an annual seven-figure income.

Howes – seen above – is a fan of LinkedIn. It took him from destitution living on his sister’s couch, after an injury derailed his dreams of US football stardom, to online millionaire.

If you are working to build a business online, then you will be seeking to leverage social media to build a following and gain customers for your products or services, or for the sale of affiliate products.

A big buzz surrounds Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat – the popular social media outlets.

But LinkedIn tends to be forgotten. After all, on face value it does not appear as an obvious option for promoting online businesses. It appears more like an online CV or resume – with a stiff upper lip – without the fun and potential for connections that you know you can get on Facebook.

But Howes is a LinkedIn believer!
